Recipe: Condensed Milk Substitute

Hello readers, a friend of mine shared this with me a week or two ago.  I haven’t tried it yet, but I am told that it works very well.  Thank you to Terence for the share.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup skim milk powder
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup boiling water
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter or baking margarine

Method:

  1. Dissolve the sugar in the water then blend all ingredients together well.
  2. Let it sit in the fridge for a day before using.

  1. Just a tip, Don't use Low Fat Powdered milk, it doesn't dissolve properly and leaves a gritty taste.
